This project involved alterations and additions to the last remaining original shack on the Blackmans Bay waterfront. After thoughtfully restoring the shack, our clients were seeking extra space to entertain, enjoy the sun and comfortably age in place.

The new addition is deliberately modest, offering a kitchen and sitting area, along with a bedroom and bathroom positioned across a central courtyard to draw in the winter north western sun. A recessed, lower link gently joins the two buildings, giving each volume the space to shine in its own way.
